Document Description
The Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) is proposing to replace two cooling towers currently located at the Central Plant. The Central Plant site is located at 6100 Folsom Blvd, Sacramento, California and is situated on the SMUD campus. Each cooling tower consists of two cells, with a total proposed replacement of four cells. Replacement of the pneumatic to electric operators, and insulation jacketing on both new and existing piping. While the cooling towers and replaced, two temporary chillers will be installed on site to provide conditioned air to the Customers Service Center (CSC) and Field Reporting Facility (FRF). Approximately three feet of trenching will be required to install and connect piping to the second temporary chiller.
