Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No .1600-2017-0461-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Project Applicant, Nelson Bahler/Reclamation District #2074. Project is the improvement of approx. 600 linear feet of an earthen levee along the north bank of the Calaveras River in western Stockton. The project would involve the removal of the upper 4 feet of the existing levee, installation of a continuous cutoff wall in the center of the levee, and reconstruction of the levee crown. The total width of the levee crown affected would be approx. 20 feet, with both land side and water side being affected. The soil that is removed from the levee crown would be transported and stored at the RD 2074 storage yard on Brookside Road, immediately northeast of the project site. The cutoff wall would be installed at a depth of approx. 60 feet. Upon completion of the crown reconstruction, an all-weather road measuring approx. 12 feet wide would be constructed on the levee top.
