Document Description
The project would involve the treatment of forest conditions in order to reduce fire danger. The Forest Service is proposing to reduce surface fuel loadings and ladder fuelds to a level that would allow safe fire suppression by hand cutting, piling, and burning material, developing Helispots, and water sources, treating non-native invasive plants, and removing hazard trees. In addition, the Forest Service is proposing to recondition/maintain and repair several sections of existing roads to improve accessibility for firefighting operations and public ingress and egress in the event of a wildfire in the area.
