Document Description
The project would develop a new bus maintenance facility and offices for the San Luis Obispo Regional Transit Authority. A new two-story 45,000 sf building would provide office space and maintenance areas. Parking would be provided for up to 67 public transit buses and vans, and 120 visitor or employee vehicles. The total developed area would be 4.5 acres. A 0.2-acre drainage basin would be located within the parking area. The remainder of the parcel (approx 2.3 acres) is anticipated to be used for the future Prado Road overpass and Elks Lane re-alignment. The proposed building would be designed to withstand a 100-year flood level event, consistent with the city of San Luis Obispo requirements.
