Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2017-0161-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Crawford and Associates, Inc. The project is limited to a geotechnical survey. Two vertical borings will be drilled in the creek channel perimeter during low flow, so the no flowing water is present in the drilling area. One boring will be near the eastern creek channel perimeter and one boring will be between the thalweg and the western creek channel perimeter. The sampled boring will be drilling to depths of approximately 80-feet below the channel bottom. About 14-cubic feet of soil cutting will be removed. The bridge deck will be cored and casing set into the underlying bedrock or impermeable soil at the boring locations. The casing will create a closed system so that no cuttings will be released into the channel. Holes will be backfilled with neat cement grout according to Lake County Environmental Health requirements.
