Document Description
This project will provide geotechnical services to identify the soil conditions at the proposed location for two new entrance ramps at Pier and Grand Avenue. The exact locations of the drilling will be coordinated with the park's environmental staff.
The consultant will: 1) observe existing site conditions; 2) core drill one site at each location near the proposed work area with a 6 inch auger down into the soil a depth of 20 to 30 feet or to the point of refusal. 3) record the soil conditions discovered for future analysis. The borings will be backfilled with neat cement grout in accordance with SLOCEHS requirements. Excess soil cuttings will be spread in adjacent undeveloped areas away from any waterways.
