Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (Department) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2017-0066-R2 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code, to the Jackson Rancheria (Permittee) as represented by Mr. Larry White. The aspect of the project that may substantially impact the bank of Jackson Creek is limited to locating and securely capping three sewer pipes that had serviced the destroyed buildings. The ends of these pipelines will be located using small portable cameras mounted on flexible hoses, which will be inserted into the existing pipelines. Because the pipelines may extend into the bank of the stream, small areas of streambank may need to be temporarily excavated in order to securely cap the pipelines. These small areas of temporary impacts are not expected to exceed a total of 300 square feet. Other aspects of the larger project will take place on existing foundations/buildings next to the creek, and include repairing existing piers, repairing or replacing the sewer service for the adjacent Amador Dispatch Acorn New building, and developing a parking lot on the foundations of the previously burned buildings.
