Document Description
This project will out plant native oak saplings along 1.5 acres of recently restored areas of Santa Cruz island in the Channel Islands. Furthermore, to support restoration activities on the islands, this project will also restore an on-site nursery on Santa Cruz Island and retrofit the existing nursery on Anacapa Island.

Project exempt under section 15304 as only native oak saplings will be planted and no healthy, mature or scenic trees will be removed. The project is also exempt under section 15333 because it involves the revegetation of a disturbed area not greater than 5 acres in size. Construction and retrofitting of the nurseries is exempt under 15301 that allows for repair and construction within existing facilities with no expansion of use.
