- The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2017-0066-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Sue Tippets/Santa Clara Valley Water District. The purpose of the project is to remove five dead trees and prune seven trees. The five dead trees to be removed include: four white alder's (Alnus rhombifolia) and one red willow (Salix laevigata), ranging in size from 6 to 14 inches in diameter at breast height (DBH). The seven trees to be pruned include: six red willow's (Salix laevigata) and one Arroyo willow (Salix lasiolepis), ranging in limb or trunk size from 3 to 8 inches in diameter. The trees are considered hazardous with the potential to fall and impact pedestrians, bicyclists, and the Santa Clara Valley Water District's staff.
