Document Description
The San Mateo County Resources Conservation District (RCD), in partnership with and Trout Unlimited, is proposing to improve water storage capacity and water use efficiency at Klingman-Moty Farm in San Mateo County, California to reduce diversions from San Gregorio Creek for the benefit of native threatened and endangered steelhead trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) and coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch). Project designs were funded by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and construction is funded through a Prop 1 award from the California Coastal Conservancy and Prop 84 Integrated Regional Water Management Plan (IRWM) from the California Department of Water Resources.

This project is an enhance stream flows in Pescadero Creek. As part of the project, irrigation infrastructure will be upgraded to increase water use efficiency and reduce the rate of diversion from Pescadero Creek from approximately 150-425 gallons per minute (gpm) to 75-100 gpm during the summer.
