The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2017-0060-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Phillips 66 Pipeline, LLC. Project activities are limited to an anomaly investigation and repair of the 16-inch Line 200 pipeline that transports crude oil from the Kern County area to the Phillips 66 refinery in Rodeo, California. The instream portion of the Project will span approximately 25 feet of the stream channel starting from the southern bank; the channel is wide at this location compared to upstream and downstream widths. In the area of the proposed anomaly investigation and repair, the pipeline depth is anticipated to be approximately 10 feet below the ground surface so the excavation at the anomaly repair location will be approximately 13 feet deep.
