Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) as the lead agency will be issuing a water supply permit to Golden State Water Company - Nipomo (GSWC-N) for the expansion of the Alta Mesa Ion Exchange Treatment Plant by replacing the existing 9' x 30' Envirogen ion exchange unit with a new 10' by 35' Envirogen ion exchange unit and construction of an 8-inch diameter, 850 feet long pipeline from the Casa Real Well 1 site to the Alta Mesa IX Treatment Plant. The sources to be treated for nitrate removal at the Alta Mesa IX Treatment Plant are Alta Mesa Well 2 and Casa Real Well 1. The project will provide for the operation of these facilities. The sources being treated are existing so the overall water supply capacity is the same but the treatment capacity increase allows them to treat more of their existing supply.
