- Document Description
- The project will replace the existing functionally obsolete Dogtown Road Bridge over Indian Creek with a new structure approx 60 ft long and 24 ft wide that will accommodate two 10 ft travel lanes with 2-ft shoulders and barrier rails. The new bridge will be a single-span, precast, prestressed concrete slab supported on seat abutments founded on spread footings. Approx 500 lf of new roadway will be constructed. The proposed alignment of the bridge would shift Dogtown Rd approx 15 ft to the west at the creek crossing. The sections of Dogtown Rd adjacent to the bridge will be improved to 10-ft lanes with 2-ft shoulders. Approx 400 ft of roadway north and south of the bridge will be improved. A retaining wall, approx 200 ft in length, will be constructed along the west edge of the south approach.
