Document Description
Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) owns and operates the Spring Gap-Stanislaus Hydroelectric Project located in Tuolomne County on the Stanislaus River. As part of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission license for this project, PG&E is conducting the Relief Reach-Kennedy Meadows Riparian Restoration and Streambank Stabilization Project (Project), which consists of seven treatment areas (treatment areas 1 through 7) on the Middle Fork Stanislaus River below Relief Dam to prevent erosion and enhance riparian habitat. Construction at Treatment Areas 2 through 6 was complete in 2017 but Treatment Areas 1 and 7 were not completed. PG&E proposed to eliminate wood and rock placement at Treatment Areas 1 and 7 and instead increase the number of riparian plantings from 60 to 120 plantings at Treatment Area 1 and from 210 to 800 plantings at Treatment Area 7. This NOD is provided to supply notice of an addendum to the Negative Declaration, prepared in response to PG&E's proposed Project modifications.
