Document Description
Placer County has an annual stream channel maintenance program. Permitted maintenance activities will be performed by the County on a 1 to 5 year recurrence interval. The County performs routine maintenance work to maintain functional and structural integrity of their facilities with the ultimate goal of flood protection for Placer County. Work is divided into seven categories: debris and obstruction removal, silt, sand and sediment removal, vegetation controls in channels, repair of previous erosion control work, minor erosion control work, restoration plantings within the riparian corridor, and installation of scientific measurement devices.
