Document Description
Placer County has an annual stream channel maintenance program and performs routine maintenance work to maintain functional and structural integrity of their facilities with the ultimate goal of flood protection for Placer County. The routine maintenance work is divided into seven categories: debris and obstruction removal silt/sand/sediment removal, vegetation control in channels, repair of previous erosion control work, minor erosion control work, restoration plantings within the riparian corridor, and installation of scientific measurement devices. Other routine maintenance may also include washing and painting bridges; repairing culverts; conducting minor geotechnical sampling; and other work necessary to maintain the functional and structural integrity of Placer facilities.
