Document Description
LADWP proposes to divert the flow of Talus Creek into the Second Los Angeles Aqueduct for municipal use. When flowing, Talus creek crosses over both Los Angeles Aqueducts and becomes braided before infiltrating the ground and evaporating west of Hwy 395. A measuring weir, slide gate, steel pipe, and small settling pond with grating cover would be installed as part of the proposed project. When Talus Creek is not flowing, the pipe connecting to the SLAA would be closed off with a slide gate to prevent any inflow of debris or animals.
