Document Description
Approx. 6.5 miles of existing steel water pipe will be replaced by 24-inch ductile iron pipe in two phases. The first phase will replace approx. 2.4 miles of pipeline and Phase II will replace the remainder but is not yet scheduled. The existing pipeline will be abandoned in place and the replacement pipeline will be located within an existing access road along the eastern bank of the San Gorgonio River. The project also includes the reconnection of laterals, minimal modifications (e.g. v-ditches and cross gutters), and appurtenances (e.g. air valves and blow offs) to support the replacement pipeline.
