Document Description
The city of La Canada Flintridge is seeking to construct an earthen desilting basin and concrete spillway within the 29,300-sf project site. The area of the proposed desilting basin would be approx 20,000 sf and would have a total storage capacity of 850 cy. Currently, water and sediment flows along a natural course, through the project site continuing across residential properties through underground pipes and at-grade channels and released onto Padres Trail to the north. The basin would serve to reduce flows and trap sediment before delivery to Padres Trail. The project would include installation of a concrete access apron, and a five-ft high gate and chain link fencing around the parameter of the basin.
