Document Description
This purpose of this project is re-paving and re-design of the ADA spaces and pathways within the existing developed footprint of the Los Trancos Parking Lot in order to upgrade some of the existing surfaces to ensure compliant ADA parking spaced and accessible routes, and provide a 14x18 foot with 14 foot 6 inch high peak roof Shuttle Stop Shelter within that footprint. CDPR-approved standard project requirements have been incorporated into this project. A copy of these requirements may be obtained by submitting a request to the project Environmental Coordinator listed below.

Reasons for Exemption
No potential for significant impact to the environment is anticipated in compliance with CEQA S: 15300.2. If the project is implemented as indicated within the CDRP Project Evaluation Form including comments provided by CDPR specialists, then it is exempt under CEQA S: 15301 - Existing Facilities, CEQA S: 15303 - New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures and CEQA S: 15304 - Minor Alterations to Land. The action falls under the Departmental List of Exempt activities according to CEQA S: 15300.4 as: "Modifications of existing facilities for handicap access" (Class 1, Section 15301) "Trail and road repairs" (Class 1, Section 15301); and "Construction or installation of park facilities such as kiosks, concessionaire structures..." (Class 3, Section 15303) The project is consistent with CEQA S: 15300 Categorical Exemptions as: MINOR ALTERATIONS TO LAND "Minor public alterations in the condition of land and/or vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees... Grading on land with a slope of less than 10%..." (Class 4, Section 15304(a)).
