Document Description
The San Joaquin Field Division will excavate and install a concrete vault to support the yearly EDPP sediment removal activity. Yearly sediment removal from the EDPP forebay typically requires large amount of sediment filled water to be removed and absorbed or evaporated into a nearby sediment basin. The purpose of the vault would be to support maintenance of the California Aqueduct while reducing water loss and time spent removing sediment. The State Water Project is a public utility that supports water delivery throughout the state. The people of the State of California will benefit by retaining water in the California Aqueduct for downstream delivery.
