Document Description
DFD staff and CCC crews will remove all vegetation from the dam face of Dyer Reservoir and the spillway, as well as silt and debris from the spoil pile v-ditch. All woody/grass vegetation will be removed from the land side face of the west side of Dyer Reservoir. This includes removing vegetation from the top crest of the dam to the lower access road all the way across the dam face. An industrial mower will be used to cover this large area. All woody/grass vegetation will be removed by hand from within Dyer Reservoir spillway. This includes woody vegetation within the channel. Silt and debris will be removed using hand-tools from the concrete v-ditch located along the crest of the east side of Dyer Reservoir. The v-ditch runs from the spoil pile to the spill way and spans approximately 2,500 feet. The project footprint includes approximately 2.5 acres of land.

The State Water Project provides significant and important services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves routine maintenance activities. This project will not result in impacts to special status species or habitat. Because this activity can be implemented without any significant environmental impacts, the Categorical Exemption Class 1 will be used for the CEQA compliance.
