Document Description
Establishment of a routine maintenance agreement under the streambed alteration program with CDFW for maintenance operations along the county-maintained road system in Tuolumne County. The project will consist of routine maintenance activities including: the removal of sand, silt, sediment, debris, woody and herbaceous vegetation; the control of weeds, grasses, and emergent vegetation; making repairs to control erosion and stabilize banks; repairing small structures and bridges; and the repair and/or replacement, cleaning and clearing of facilities; all as necessary to maintain the structural integrity and capacity of these facilities for drainage, flood control, and conservation purposes and maintain stream flow activities. Avoidance, minimization, and mitigation measure have been incorporated into the project to reduce impacts to jurisdictional waters and sensitive species.

After reviewing the project and its setting, the environmental coordinator for the county of Tuolumne has determined that the project is categorically exempt from review under the CEQA, pursuant to section 15301 of the state CEQA guidelines b/c the project consists of maintenance operations along the county-maintained road system involving no expansion of use and none of the exceptions listed in section 15300.2 of CEQA guidelines apply to this project.
