Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement no. 1600-2016-0223-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Glenn County Planning and Public Works Agency. Project is limited to 1) Removal of sediment, sand and gravel that has accreted within the channel and is impeding stormwater flows within this reach of Walker Creek to return the channel to its original configuration; 2) Removal of vegetation impeding stormwater flows within the actual channel bed of the creek; 3) Removal of accumulated woody debris and anthropogenic debris from within the channel and in the vicinity of the County Road 99 bridge and UPRR Trestle at opposite ends of the project site; 4) Repair of bank erosion along the reach of the creek, and 5) Repair of bank armoring and bridge support pilings associated with the County Road 99 Bridge crossing the creek.

This is a small project intended to return the stream channel to original contours to minimize the risk of flooding and bank erosion from stormwater flows, to repair existing bank armoring and bridge supports for a main transportation route and to return vegetation types to previous conditions that supported nesting state listed raptors on the site.
