The response plan focuses on the excavation and offsite disposal of soil impacted by volatile organic compounds with sampling results above residential screening levels. The purpose of the project is to remove contaminated soils from the site and prevent exposure to impacted soils. In addition, DTSC and the SBCTA, the site owner, will enter into a land use covenant to restrict land use at the site to commercial/industrial use.
