Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2016-0210-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). This Project is limited to vegetation removal and management and transmission line replacement and installation. The overall work is necessary because of observed gas leakage. The project workspace will include a total of 0.401 acres for vehicle/crew access, staging, and equipment laydown and 0.067 acre of excavation area required for pipeline retirement/installation trenching and removal/installation of valve equipment. Permanent impacts will be limited to 28 square feet for the installation of a new valve cluster lid structure, and the removal of 23 trees and 626 square feet of brush. Total temporary construction impacts will consist of 0.467 acres, which will include two trenches across Hirsch Creek. It is anticipated that running or standing water will be present in the creek at the time of construction. Dewatering plans have been developed for the project. Work is expected to take approximately up to 40 days.
