The purpose of this survey is to identify the major management questions arising from microplastic particles in the marine environment and develop a Microplastics Strategy and outline research needs. The MLML study will survey multiple sites within San Francisco and Tomales Bays to collect fish and sediment. Covered methods of take are limited to an otter trawl net.
