This project will fund development and demonstration of a real-time load management system to balance direct current fast charging needs, grid load needs, and renewable energy generation. The Greenlot system will aggregate and integrate DC fast charging with on site energy storage to balance grid peak loads and renewable energy over-generation.

This project is exempt under 15303 new construction or conversion of small structures b/c Greenlots is installing new electric vehicle charging stations and stationary battery energy storage that will not result in serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource. This project is exempt under 15304 Minor alterations to land b/c Greenlots will trench and backfill to extend electrical lines and conduit to the new electric vehicle charging stations and stationary battery energy storage. The trenching will occur in an existing asphalt parking lot, which will not include the removal of healthy, mature, or scenic trees.
