Water Hyacinth Removal Project

Hand removal of the extensive water hyacinth infestation to reduce negative impacts on water quality and fish and wildlife habitats, prevent spread to Lake Natoma and the American and Sacramento Rivers, and remove the source of the Willow Creek Cove population where removal efforts have been ongoing for several years.
A short stretch of the horse-shoe shaped curve in Willow Creek between Glenn Drive and Blue Ravine Road.

This project is for the elimination/control of an invasive, undesirable plant species for the protection of adjacent populations of plants and animals, and their habitat. The project type is explicitly identified as an exempt action in 14 CCR 757(c)(7)(C) and 14 CCR 775(c)(7)(D).
