Document Description
The Department of State Hospitals is proposing to upgrade by replacing and/or repairing the existing fire alarm system in Buildings 30, 70, U and the Ed Bernath to comply with State Fire Marshal requirements. The project consists of replacing existing alarm panels, smoke and heat detectors, visual and audible notification devices and wiring with instruments to meet current California Fire Code requirements. Accessory items batteries, magnetic door holders, raceways, mounting boxes, wiring may be installed and/or replaced. Where replacement ceilings and/or patching are required, the finished surface will replicate existing conditions to the extent practicable.
