Document Description
The city proposes a road improvement project along Quartz Hill Rd. The project will begin at Terra Nova Dr and end at Market St. The purpose of the project is to improve pedestrian and bicycle use of the roadway corridor. Bicycle lanes, sidewalks, crosswalks, lighting, and new roadway striping will be added as part of this Active Transportation Project. The project is needed as minimal roadway shoulders, lack of bike lanes, and lack of sidewalk force bicycle and pedestrian traffic into the traveled way where vehicle speeds can reach upwards of 55 mph. The project will improve multi-modal access from multiple area neighborhoods to schools, Caldwell Park, and the city's trail system.
