The bridge will accommodate four vehicular lanes (two in each direction), sidewalks, and a barrier-separated pathway. The proposed bridge will be approximately 210 feet long, and 83 feet wide. Abutments will be constructed at the top of the levees and will consist of a single row of 36-inch diameter cast-in-drilled hole (CIDH) piles. There will be 10 piles at each abutment in the single row. The piers will have 16 piles for a total of 32 piles per pier. None of the piers or pilings will be constructed within the ordinary high-water mark or low flow channel of Bear Creek. The concrete lining will extend at least 20 feet beyond the upstream and downstream ends of the piers.
