Document Description
To construct a new 4-lane (two in each direction) bridge over Bear Creek along the northern extension of Holman Road within the City of Stockton. The proposed bridge will be a 3-span bridge supported by a total of four supports. Both of the abutment supports are proposed to be on the existing levees, while both of the intermediate pier supports are proposed to be within the channel outside the ordinary high-water mark. The proposed project also includes a concrete lining that will be added to the portion of the banks, extending 20 feet minimum beyond the upstream and downstream ends of the piers. The project also provides accommodations for utilities above the levees for a 16-inch water line inside a casing, an 8-inch sewer line inside a casing, a 4-inch gas line inside a casing, two 6-inch electrical conduits, a street light conduit, two 4-inch fiber optic conduits, and two 4-inch conduits for various future communication lines. As part of the construction, falsework/temporary steel and timber supports within the creek will be required along with a temporary creek diversion system.
