Document Description
Caltrans and the Plumas National Forest propose to replace or improve 5 tributary conveyance structures in order to provide aquatic organism passage along SR 70 in Butte and Plumas Counties, from PM 41.9 in Butte County to PM 31.82 in Plumas County. The 5 tributaries crossing under SR 70 currently act as impediments to AOP for native fish, amphibians and reptiles. Work would consist of constructing fish ladders in order to augment existing culverts for fish passage, and replacement of existing bridges/culverts with natural channel bottom structures that provide AOP for all species specific life stages. This proposed project is a joint agency project, and would be completed using state and federal funds.
