Document Description
The project consists of 19 encroachments for enhancement of Martin Slough and its tributaries including 1) widening and deepening the Martin Slough channel, 2) creation of one new freshwater pond and 3) enlargement of an existing pond, 4) daylighting a Martin Slough tributary that currently travels through underground pipes, 5-18) replacement or reinstallation of 14 stream crossings (11 golf cart bridges on the Eureka municipal golf course; replacing an agricultural culvert crossing with a bridge crossing; rerouting a "ditched" tributary and installing a culvert for utility maintenance access), and 19) installation of large wood structures for habitat enhancement in the newly created ponds and excavated channel. The project also consists of re-contouring pasture and golf course areas to improve drainage and eliminate the potential for fish stranding, and wetland/riparian revegetation.
