Document Description
Note: Per Lead Agency, NOP is Withdrawn - 5/7/2019 (see attachment). The proposed project would remove the Alamo Pintado Creek pedestrian bridge (bridge no. 51-0076Y) via demolition. The pedestrian bridge is a former highway bridge construction in 1912 that now serves as pedestrian and equestrian access across Alamo Pintado Creek. Due to channel degradation, the bridge piles that make up the piers are now heavily exposed, causing the bridge to sink slowly at its supports. The bridge is considered no longer stable under its own weight. Minor grading and embankment restoration might also be necessary. A water line utility would need to be relocated from the old bridge to the current highway bridge as well.
