Document Description
The project will involve dredging 9.10 acres of contaminated marine sediments from the northern portion of the San Diego Bay Boat Channel to prevent a release of hazardous substances in the sediment, including: copper, lead, zinc, total chlordane, and total dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane. Dredging will be to a depth of one to two feet. The project is expected to generate approx 23,200 cy of dredged contaminated marine sediment. The project would also include dewatering dredged material on a barge, testing dredged materials, vessel transport of dredged material to Naval Base San Diego, and truck transport of dredged materials to the Copper Mountain Landfill disposal facility in Welton, Arizona.
