- Document Description
- The project proposes to replace the existing Trancas Creek Bridge with a new bridge structure on the Pacific Coast Hwy (SR-1), between Guernsey Ave and Trancas Canyon Rd, in the city of Malibu in LA County. The project is needed b/c the existing bridge has served long beyond its design life (built in 1927 with a 50 year design life) and is subject to scour. Additionally, structural deficiencies such as small to large cracks and spalling on the existing bridge structure contributes to the need for it to be replaced.
