Remove Monterey Cypress trees and plant Monterey pines in the Longview area of Asilomar State Beach and Conference Grounds to improve the health of Monterey pines by reducing competition and increasing overall forest health. Work will remove approx. 30-40 non-native Monterey Cypress trees and plant at least 50 native Monterey pines grown in the on-site greenhouse.
