Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2017-0040-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Project Applicant, SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. Project is limited to removal of PCB-contaminated soil within wetland and riparian areas. The excavations will affect approx. 0.23 acres of intermittent and perennial channel habitat, including marsh wetlands. Approx. 0.67 acres of riparian vegetation will also be impacted. After removal of contaminated soils, clean, imported granular fill will be added to the channel to restore pre-construction channel geomorphology. In areas currently lined with riprap, the riprap will be removed and replaced after cleaning. Disturbed areas will be replanted after construction with locally collected willow stakes and cattails.
