Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number EPIMS-HUM-44688-R1C, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Petar Boyadzhiev The Project is limited to four encroachments. Two encroachments are for water diversion from on-stream ponds located on unnamed class III tributaries to Jewett Creek. Water is diverted for irrigation use. Work for the water diversion will include use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure. One proposed encroachment is to upgrade an existing culvert. Work for this encroachment will include excavation, removal of the existing culvert, replacement with new properly sized culvert, backfilling and compaction of fill, rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion, and restoration of a daylighted stream channel. The last encroachment includes a sediment basin, pond decommissioning, stream channel restoration, and the removal of a liner on an on-stream pond. Work for this encroachment will include excavation and construction of the historic stream channel, rock armoring as necessary for grade control, and the application of erosion control (straw and native seed) to the newly exposed pond banks.
