Document Description
The project is limited to three encroachments. One encroachment is for water diversion from Thompson Creek a fish bearing stream downstream from the point of diversion (POD). Water is diverted for micro-hydro power generation and domestic use including 13,500 gallons of storage. All water diverted for power generation is returned to the stream approximately 150 downstream of the POD. Work for the water diversion will include use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure. The two other proposed encroachments are to upgrade failing and undersized stream crossings. Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of the failing crossings, replacement with new properly sized crossings, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.
