Document Description
The project applicant, the U.S. Pipe and Foundry Company, LLC, is proposing to develop a stormwater retention basin on its industrial property at 1295 Whipple Road, where U.S. Pipe operates an iron smelting facility and ductile iron pipe manufacturing plant. The purpose of the proposed retention basin is to capture and retain stormwater runoff from the plant property so as to reduce or prevent the discharge of pollutants via stormwater into downstream regulated waters of the U.S. The kidney shaped earth lined basin would have an overall length of approx 470 ft and the width would vary from approx 180 ft to 210 ft, with a max depth of 8 ft.
