Document Description
The proposed project would develop existing surface parking lots with a mixed use development containing undergraduate housing, academic development and a administrative space, community and open space, and underground parking in the west campus of UC San Diego. The project would provide approx. 2,000 new beds and housing support space for undergraduate students. The building program includes the following uses: 700,000 gsf of student housing: 123,438 gsf of residential support and community retail; 244,835 gsf of academic uses; 22,727 gsf of administrative uses; and a 564,602 gsf underground parking structure (1,230 spaces). The project incorporates utilities improvements and the buildings would be designed to meet UCGBC LEED platinum standards.
