Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0056-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, California Department of Transportation District 7 as represented by Mr. Paul Caron. In order to meet current safety and health standards the activities involved in the project include upgrade to the bridge rail, increase the width of the deck for roadway shoulder, rehabilitate the structure in hopes to extend the life and serviceability of the bridge, and remediate fish passage of the bridge. The project proposes to conduct work within the bed or on the banks of San Antonio Creek between May 1-October 31, outside the winter rainy season, and when no surface water flow is present. The project will be carried out over a 30 to 36 month period beginning summer of 2020. The project will temporarily impact San Antonio Creek by removing 0.37 acres of habitats associated with the stream and seasonal ground disturbance from excavation, remediation of fish passage impediments, and access into the stream.
