Document Description
OC Parks planning and design division is proposing to complete a large regional bikeway called the Orange County Loop. The proposed project is one segment of the OC Loop known as Segment D, which is less than one mile in length. Two separate alignments (D-1 and D-2) are being considered. One or both alignments could be implemented. Alignment D-1 is a Class I (off-road) bikeway starting at La Floresta Drive along Imperial Highway and then traveling off-street along the Carbon Creek Channel to intersect the El Cajon Trail at Bastanchury Road. Alignment D-2 is a Class I and Class IV (on street separated) bikeway that would align along Imperial Highway at La Floresta Drive to North Rose Drive and then turn south along the east side of North Rose Drive, where it would intersect the El Cajon Trail, south of Bastanchury Road. The project site is not located on any of the lists of sites enumerated under Section 65962.5 of the Government Code.
