Document Description
The proposed project is a code amendment to portions of title 16 and title 17 of the El Monte Municipal Code to allow for the installation or relocation of static or digital billboards within the specified freeway overlay zone. The proposed freeway overlay zone will be located along portions of the San Bernardino Freeway. The city of El Monte is currently in negotiations with the Ross Nissan car dealership for the purchase of a parcel of land within the dealership property. The parcel of land would be utilized to operate a digital billboard through an agreement with a sign company. The proposed overlay zone and the amendment to the city municipal code would allow for the installation and operation of this digital billboard.
