Document Description
The project consists of preparation of the 2018 RTP/SCS. The 2018 RTP/SCS is an update to the 2014 RTP/SCS. The RTP will be used to allocate federal and state funding for regional transportation projects. The SCS component of the project identifies policies and strategies to balance land use and transportation systems to reduce emissions from cars and light trucks. TCAG does not implement individual projects in the RTP/SCS; these projects are implemented by local jurisdictions and other implementation agencies. The RTP identifies the region's mobility needs and associated land use patterns through 2042. The SCS will contain land use, housing, and transportation strategies that, if implemented, would allow the Tulare County region to meet GHG emission reduction targets for cars and light trucks for the years 2020 and 2035.
