Document Description
Project is limited to development of a commercial property which was remnant wetland features fo an ephemeral drainage. An existing concrete retaining wall will be extended the southern length of the property line, filling portions of the wetland and ephemeral stream. In addition, the retaining wall will create a stormwater detention basin within the wetland. The retaining wall will be 160 linear feet long and will be built with 8" x 8" x 16" grouted solid concrete block sets 12" into undisturbed soil for footings. The detention basin will meter water outside of the retaining wall towards an existing culvert under Hwy 44. Compensatory mitigation was paid for 0.16 acres of permanent impacts to wetlands under previous development phases. An additional 0.055 acres of permanent impact during this phase are authorized without requiring compensatory mitigation by the Army Corps of Engineers. Mitigation was not made a requirement of the project.
