CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2016-0147-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, CA Water Service Company. The proposed project involves the demolition of an existing check board dam system, demolition of a concrete cap on the upper portion of the dam and installation of a fishway. The project also involves implementation of Operation Conservation Measures for the Upper Bear Diversion Facility, which include (1) minimum bypass flows, (2) fish screening of the diversion intake, and (3) providing upstream and downstream passage for adult steelhead at the diversion dam.
